The average investment sits between Plan 4 and Plan 10. There is no upper ceiling — the largest plan Jani-King has ever sold was a Plan 250.
How does the ROI calculation work?
Jani-King’s average return on investment is around 18 months: significantly faster than most franchise models, where standalone unit franchises typically take around three years to return the initial investment.
Here’s how it works using Plan 10 as the worked example:
You invest approximately £32,750. Jani-King commits to delivering £10,000 per month in contracted business within an agreed window. On that revenue, a franchisee’s expected net profit is around 20% — approximately £2,000 per month.
If, in a worst-case scenario, Jani-King fails to deliver the guaranteed contracted business within the agreed timeframe, you move onto what’s called “margin payments” — Jani-King writes you a cheque for approximately £2,000 per month (the profit you would have earned on the guaranteed revenue).
Over 12 months that totals £24,000; over 18 months, approximately £36,000 — meaning your investment is effectively returned within 18 months even if everything goes wrong on our side.
